We went 5 months without seeing our newest nephew, Garrett, who will be a year old in less than a month. All I can say is thank goodness for FaceTime because I don't know that we could have made it. We would visit Triston once a month when he was a baby.

Cousin love
We left Saturday morning after Kaleb's baseball game and drove to Clarksville, TN for a weekend visit. We could have stayed a week and it still wouldn't have been enough time with that sweet monkey. Papa was also on his way up to pick Triston up for their annual motorcycle trip so we did get to see them for a little while.

While in Clarksville, we were also able to visit some friends of Kevin's from high school. What a small world that our brother-in-law, Daniel, works down the hall from someone Kevin hung out with for years. We had not seen them since Kevin's 10 year class reunion which was 10 years ago! Wow time flies but the guys picked up right where they left off. Those are lifelong friends.
Kaleb was able to swim while we were there and for all you who know how skid-dish he can be on first visit of the year to the pool would have been so proud of him. He jumped right in and swam for at least an hour. Getting him out of the pool was not an easy task.

| He could live in the pool |

| Kaleb's new buddy, Dwight. They would get hot and then get back in the water to cool off. |

I love that Lauren lets me step into Garrett's schedule when I'm there. We got to enjoy playtime, snack time, reading books, bath time, and bed time. He laid right down for me Saturday night but last night I would lay him down to fall asleep and he would cry. I think he must have needed extra loving just like I did. I was a softee and got him back out of bed 2 times!

This morning before we headed home, we were able to have breakfast with Lauren, Daniel and Garrett (Triston is on a motorcycle trip with Papa and will be at our house later this week).
Good-byes are not easy so we say until next time....and this time it won't be 5 months!!
